A Friendship That Defies Distance

I am filled with hope after receiving outsized support from a friend. We go long periods without contact and haven’t lived within a thousand miles of each other for over a decade. But we get in touch and it’s like no time has passed, and his generosity of spirit and assistance is astounding. And I know he gives the same to everyone in his life. And the hope comes from not only seeing this in him, but in knowing there are so many like that, and that we can all love each other that way.
