A Quiet Gesture of Faith

One hand touches his heart and the other gently reaches out. Every morning, hundreds of the boys enter the College and walk to the Statue of the Sacred Heart, touching his hand before making the sign of the cross. No one has ever told them to do it. No one suggested it. It brought me to tears when I first witnessed it. To think that these boys know there is something so much more than them. To hope that they will be ‘men for others’ as the school and community lovingly support them so much to be.
