A matter of time. Each time is personal and private. Compressed by experience. The shape pulls you to one open area or another. The end shapes the elevation. What is open to you? What causes you anxiety? What makes you feel joy? You're not sure if you are walking right or left. It's disorienting. Time depends on your relationship to the path you take. Be the subject of the experience. Start with the void, not with the material. Thinking on your feet. Industry into art. Using tension. Elevation. Cones. Ellipses. Spheres. Torses. You can't perceive it. You have to walk it. Don't worry about the consequences. See what happens. I want to see it from above. I can. -A post-possibility conference reflection on seeing Richard Serra's work at the Guggenheim in Bilbao.
