With Shabazz Graham
“"I like to consider myself as a questionologist, someone who studies questions. Warren Berger wrote a book called a more beautiful question and spoke about how powerful questions are and how they deserve their own form of study - Questionology"”
Reflections
Q1: Place
If we could do a flypast on any part of the world that is significant to you, which place, city or country would it be and why?
Jamaica in the Caribbean
Q2: Life
Give us a glimpse into your life story so far with an emphasis on what you are doing currently?
I grew up as a child of the care system and a lot of young people back in the 80s were leaving care badly. I was hired by the care system to do a documentary about leaving care well and I knew from then that filmmaking was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I've now spent the last 30 years in film and TV, and throughout the whole process of my experience as a filmmaker, questions have been central and at the core of all that I do. I started to get more of this kind of Eureka moment. After my film editor friend suddenly passed away I decided to honour him by creating a new social media platform and communication tool called Qcast, which simply means question cast, which operates by allowing you to share questions with the world on scale.
Q3: Reset
Where on earth is your place or reset or re-charge?
Falling asleep beside my wife and child
Q4: Wonder
What wonder of the natural world excites you the most?
Clouds - for me, it's one of the most beautiful and dynamic parts of our planet
Q5: Hopefulness
What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
My story of hopefulness is Cultural style week which is an organisation set up by my wife Candy, who launched cultural style week as a way of enabling everyone to embrace and share their culture through the power of fashion.
