Reflections
Q1: Place
If we could do a flypast on any part of the world that is significant to you, which place, city or country would it be and why?
Home town of Bexhill on Sea
Q2: Life
Give us a glimpse into your life story so far with an emphasis on what you are doing currently?
I'm a suicide survivor, but my story is not sad. It's a story about finding hope in God and it's about finding hope and passion in my calling. There's a myth that suicide is about wanting to die. It is not. Almost always, suicide is about needing help to live and that is what we as a community can do something about. This is when I set up RunningSpace which is about teaching people how to run, it's about championing life, it's about beating suicide and we do that by teaching people how to run in small groups based in community.
Q3: Reset
Where on earth is your place or reset or re-charge?
A five second hug from my partner or work colleague
Q4: Wonder
What wonder of the natural world excites you the most?
Underground. In this dark place of suffering, in the trauma, that is where the treasure is found. Diamonds are made under pressure
Q5: Hopefulness
What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
Gus and Jenny who are part of the Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team. Their level of compassion is what I aspire to.
